Gordon Harrison Joins Team Supra Boats

MARYVILLE, TN (January 3, 2017) Skier’s Choice is proud to announce the newest member of Team Supra, Gordon Harrison.

Supra Boats would like to welcome the newest member of Team Supra, professional wakeboarder Gordon Harrison. 2016 was a tremendous year for Harrison at the age of 22; taking first place in the MyWake “3 Trick Line” as well as “Best Double Up” video contests; and making his professional debut on the Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour. In addition to competing, Harrison released Emergence, a full length video highlighting the trials and tribulations he’s had to overcome to continue his wakeboarding career.
“Gordon is going to be a tremendous addition to Team Supra”, mentioned Rick Tinker, President of Supra Boats. “He’s a talented rider and even more impressive young man who has overcome some serious injuries and is still making headway in his professional career.”

"I'm very excited about joining Team Supra” Stated Harrison. “I grew up riding behind a Supra, and in a way I feel that Supra shaped my riding. The wake behind the new models is incredible and with innovation in mind I'm excited to see what we can accomplish now that we're working together.”

Harrison will begin training behind the Supra SA 550 and will compete in the first stop of 2017 Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour in May.

The Wake Dude's Hyperlite Baseline review:

Ever since I saw this board back in September I knew it would be a great board for lots of people. Once I got my hands on one and began to ride it in the late fall, I WAS SOLD! This board is not only great for people looking to advance their riding but it was a very fun and forgiving shape that allowed myself and 2 other people in the boat to use the board all at different skill levels and not just ride the board but enjoy and get something positive out of the ride.

The main features I enjoy about this board are 3 main things:
1. The straight up pop off the wake
2. Soft landings
3. Forgiving ride even in choppy water.

The pop was great. It was consistent, smooth and responsive. If I cut harder or softer the board would respond respectively and naturally. It was easy to anticipate how the board would handle leaving the wake. It also sends you straight up giving you more hang time for tricks instead of a long and far jump.

The soft landings are key. No one likes to land hard. This board was smooth as butter whether you land on the downside of the wake or busting raley tricks into the flats. I was very impressed.

Forgiving ride was surprising. I had been riding a board with a little sharper edge throughout the entire board and sometimes I enjoy that but when I was testing this board out in the fall it was cold, I was a little rusty on some tricks and there was a slight wind chop but I was able to save some landings that I shouldn't have saved and again smooth landings even in the chop that made it easy to ride away smooth.

This is a board that you will see me riding this year and probably for years to come. I would recommend this board to anyone, any skill and will have anyone I teach to ride this board most likely!

Here is a nice video from Shaun Murray highlighting features of the board and giving some great tips on your first spins and inverts!

"We couldn't be happier with the results. Knowledgeable, encouraging and able to explain things to our level. We had a great couple of hours on the water and a renewed drive to ride!"

    The Wake Dude Rocks...

The Wake Dude is the BEST. We used Devin and his boat frequently throughout the Summer months for family and friends as they visited Lake Anna. Devin was patient and professional in every aspect of his teaching. He showed up on time, every time, and created a fun atmosphere for everyone. Whether it is your first time out or a seasoned veteran, get ready to have lots of fun and learn a ton while on the water. Total blast...

    Awesome Beginner Wakeboarding Lesson

This was my first time ever wakeboarding, but I have over 10 years snowboarding experience. With Devin's instruction, I was able to get up and start trying jumps almost immediately. Before the end of my lesson, he had me clearing the wake. Very helpful and encouraging. Good equipment (nothing was dirty or overused). Highly recommended even if you've never tried it before. We plan on going back to Devin next year and maybe get my girlfriend to try.

    Wakeboarding Lesson- Novice

Devin is not just a great instructor, very patient and very informative- he is also extremely professional. He returns phone calls, very reliable, very friendly. He gave my 52-year old husband with a knee replacement, who had failed on prior attempts to wakeboard, a lesson, and my husband was up on the third try. He stayed up a long time on tries 3 through 6. We used his boat, which was designed to pull skiers and wakeboarders. I would recommend Devin to anyone.

Devin did a great job of teaching my 10 year old son how to wake board. Devin's technique, communication ability, and manerism is very professional, encouraging, precise, and productive. We look forward to returning to Lake Anna and getting more instruction next summer. Harry Jernigan - Virginia Beach

  1. We booked two hours with Devin to advance the riding skills of our two boys.
With the new confidence of Devin’s instruction, our 10 year old was soon traversing the wake and learning to build a progressive edge. Both boys learned an ollie followed by a surface 180. Our 13 year old also worked on his single and wake to wake jump. Devin inspired the boys with a “where you could go” demo and then we ran a second line and Devin paralleled each boy for additional one on one instruction. Devin provided exactly what we were hoping for in a very productive, professional and fun setting.
